The Greater Houston Community Foundation (GHCF) administers a variety of unique scholarship funds that grant over $5.9 million annually to college students. The scholarship funds have been established by thoughtful and generous donors and each has a unique set of eligibility criteria and award structure.

Scholarship Application Info:  

Greater Houston Community Foundation administers over 60 different scholarship programs, each with differing eligibility requirements. Eligibility for some scholarships may be dependent on employment, course of study, high school, or college.  

What Scholarship Applications are Open Right Now? 

• See the Full List of Scholarships to view which programs are currently accepting applications. This list also shows which programs have already closed for the 2025-26 academic year.
  • Please note that applications for the Houston Rockets Scholarship will be accepted on a first-come, first served basis. Application period will close once 125 applications are received. Click here to read more about the Houston Rockets Scholarship.

To Apply For a Scholarship: 

1. Create an account using your personal email address (please do not use a parent's email address or a high school email address).
2. Review the list of scholarships available. 
3. Identify the scholarships that you are eligible for under Programs. 
4. Complete the application online (including submitting all required documentation) and remember to click the blue Submit button.
