The Greater Houston Community Foundation (GHCF) administers a variety of unique scholarship funds that grant over $5.9 million annually to college students. The scholarship funds have been established by thoughtful and generous donors and each has a unique set of eligibility criteria and award structure.
Scholarship Application Info:
Greater Houston Community Foundation administers over 60 different scholarship programs, each with differing eligibility requirements. Eligibility for some scholarships may be dependent on employment, course of study, high school, or college.
When will the scholarship applications reopen?
- Most scholarship applications for the 2025-26 school year will reopen in January or February 2025.

What scholarship applications are open right now?
- No scholarships are accepting applications at this time. The next round of applications will open on Monday, February 24.
- See the Full List of Scholarships to view what programs will be accepting applications again soon.
- We are currently updating applications, which means many of our programs opening later this month are "offline." If you see an "Error" page when clicking on a scholarship, it may be under construction. Check back on the application Open Date (February 24) for details about the scholarship opportunity.

To Apply For a Scholarship:
- Create an account using your personal email address (please do not use a parent's email address).
- Review the list of scholarships available.
- Identify the scholarships that you are eligible for under Programs.
- Complete the application online (including submitting all required documentation) and remember to click the blue Submit button!
