The Greater Houston Community Foundation (GHCF) administers a variety of unique scholarship funds that grant over $5.7 million annually to college students. The scholarship funds have been established by thoughtful and generous donors and each has a unique set of eligibility criteria and award structure.
Scholarship Application Info:
Greater Houston Community Foundation administers over 60 different scholarship programs, each with differing eligibility requirements. Eligibility for some scholarships may be dependent on employment, course of study, high school, or college.
⇨ Scholarships currently accepting applications for the 2027-28 academic year:
- Patrick J. Kiley / Houston AGC Scholarship - OPENS: October 15 | CLOSES: January 29, 2027 at 11:59 PM (Central Time)
- Benefiting employees, dependents of employees, and/or interns of AGC Houston member firms OR students involved in AGC Student Chapters
⇨ When will applications for the 2027-28 academic year open?
- Most applications will reopen in January and February 2027.

- We are currently updating applications for the 2027-28 cycle which means that some pages are "offline” and you may receive an error message when you click them.
- All eligibility requirements, award information, and application dates will be updated by early 2027.
⇨ Are there any scholarships still available for this 2026-27 academic year?
- All scholarship applications have closed and all funding has been allocated for the 2026-27 academic year. Applications will reopen in January/February 2027 for funding in the 2027-28 academic year.
How do I Apply For a Scholarship?
Step 1. Review the Full List of Scholarships to identify if there are any scholarships that you are eligible to apply for.
Step 2. Now that you’ve identified the scholarship(s) for which you meet all of the eligibility requirements, visit the Application Process FAQ for instructions and tips on creating your GHCF Scholar account.
