Description
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a graduating seniors of Northside High School in Houston, TX
- Minimum cumulative GPA to apply: 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted)
- Must be associated with a college preparatory program offered at the high school. Association includes historical or active participation in activities sponsored by the college preparatory programs (AdviseTX; Communities in Schools; DiscoverU; GenesysWorks; HCC Upward Bound; HISD Emerge; OneGoal Graduation; Posse Foundation; Project GRAD; YoungLife; Ignite; Launch Scholars).
Award Information:
- Multiple awards made annually of the following amounts:
- 4 year colleges - up to $4,500 average or up to $18,000 over maximum 6 years
- 2 year colleges - up to $2,500 average or up to $5,000 over maximum 3 years
- Certificate program at a 2 year college: $1,500
- Scholarships are renewable as long as student meets eligibility criteria (with the exception of certificate program students)
- Must enroll in 12 hours in both the fall and spring semesters
