Description
Eligibility Criteria:
- Students who have been accepted into a master’s degree program in counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy at a public college or university in the Greater Houston area
- Must be a graduating college senior, previous college graduate, or current master’s student
- Must plan to become an independently licensed therapist and practice youth and child therapy in Greater Houston upon graduation for at least 5 years
- Must plan to become licensed as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT
- Minimum GPA of 3.00
- Preference given to applicants who plan to specialize in Addiction and Recovery counseling
Award Information:
- Scholarship finalists will be interviewed in November 2023
- Up to $8,000 per semester to be used towards tuition, fees, and books
- May enroll full-time or part-time
- Renewable for up to 4 semesters of funding for full-time students
- Renewable for up to 8 semesters of funding for part-time students
