Description

The SWE Homes Community Scholarship is for dependents of SWE Homes contractors and SWE Homes home buyers.
Requirements to Apply:
- Must be the dependent child or grandchild of a SWE Homes contractor or SWE Homes homeowner
- Must be a graduating high school senior, current undergraduate student, or graduate student
- Minimum cumulative GPA to apply: 2.6 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted)
- Applicants with an unweighted GPA of 2.59 or below are not eligible.
- If you are a graduating high school senior, please review this guide for instructions on converting your GPA to a 4.0 scale. GPA should be rounded to two decimal points.
- Both new applicants and previous recipients of the scholarshp must complete this same online application.

About the Scholarship Award:
- Up to three (3) awards for the upcoming 2026-27 academic year. Award amount varies by college/degree type:
- 4-year degree/school or graduate degrees: $5,000
- 2-year degree/school: $3,000
- Students may reapply as long as they meet eligibility requirements
- What can this scholarship be used for?
- The scholarship will be mailed directly to the student's college to be used towards tuition, required academic fees, and/or book expenses.
- Scholarship funding cannot be distributed directly to the student. Funding cannot be used for room and board, rent, meal plans, parking passes, or other similar living expenses.
- Are there any requirements I must meet if I am selected as a scholarship recipient?
- Recipients must attend an accredited trade school, commnity college, or university in the United States
- Recipients must enroll in at least 6 credit hours for both the fall and spring semesters (or be enrolled at least part-time according to your school if it is on a different system).
- Recipients must submit college enrollment information online through GHCF Scholar the summer before the academic year begins. This information is required in order for the scholarship check to be mailed to the student's college. Instructions will be included in the student's award letter.
- Each scholarship recipient is required to provide a written testimonial and participate in a filmed testimonial upon receiving the award. Additionally, if the recipient is a child or grandchild of a current full-time employee, that current full-time employee must also participate in the testimonial if requested.
