Description

The Silver Eagle Distributors Houston Scholarship benefits dependents of full-time employees of Silver Eagle Distributors Houston and Redwood Beverages.


Requirements to Apply:

  • Must be a dependent child of a full-time employee of Silver Eagle Distributors Houston or Redwood Beverages who will be employed for at least one year by July 1, 2026.
    • For Redwood Beverage employees, prior service at Silver Eagle, Heidelberg, or Pepin counts towards this requirement.
  • Must be a graduating high school senior or current college student
  • Must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 (unweighted) scale. 
    • Students with an unweighted GPA of 2.49 or below are not eligible.
    • If you are a graduating high school senior, please review this guide for instructions on converting your GPA to a 4.0 scale. GPA should be rounded to two decimal points.
  • Both new applicants and previous recipients of the scholarshp must complete this same online application.

About the Scholarship Award:

  • This scholarship is for the upcoming 2026-27 academic year.
  • Multiple scholarships awarded annually in the amount of $4,000.
  • Reapply guidelines:
    • Students in a four-year degree program may reapply up to four years after initial award (maximum 5 years of funding)
    • Students in a two-year degree or certificate program may reapply up to two years (maximum 3 years of funding)
    • Students in a graduate/master's degree program can reapply one time (maximum 2 years of funding)

  • What can this scholarship be used for?
    • The scholarship will be mailed directly to the student's college to be used towards tuition, required academic fees, and/or book expenses.
    • Scholarship funding cannot be distributed directly to the student. Funding cannot be used for room and board, rent, meal plans, parking passes, or other similar living expenses.

  • Are there any requirements I must meet if I am selected as a scholarship recipient?
    • Recipients must attend an accredited university, community college, or trade school in the United States.
    • Recipients must enroll in at least 12 credit hours for both the fall and spring semesters (or be enrolled full-time according to your school if it is on a different system).
    • Recipients must submit college enrollment information online through GHCF Scholar the summer before the academic year begins. This information is required in order for the scholarship check to be mailed to the student's college. Instructions will be included in the student's award letter.

What Is Needed for This Application?

  • Two (2) recommendation forms completed online. The recommender cannot be a family member.
  • Transcript to confirm your GPA (unofficial transcripts are accepted)
