Description

This scholarship is for employees and dependents of employees of Royal Oaks Country Club in Houston, TX.
Requirements to Apply:
- A current employee, spouse of a current employee, child/grandchild of a current employee or a child/grandchild of the spouse of a current employee of Royal Oaks Country Club
- Current employee is defined as full-time or part-time (with a minimum of 500 hours in the previous 12 months)
- Children or grandchildren must be:
- Under the age of 30 years old as of the application deadline (March 31, 2026)
- A graduating high school senior, previous high school graduate, or GED recipient
- GPA Requirements (varies by degree type)
- Minimum GPA of 2.0 for undergraduate and technical education students (GPA of 1.99 or below does not qualify)
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 for graduate students (GPA of 2.9 or below does not qualify)
- Please review this guide for instructions on converting your GPA to a 4.0 scale. GPA should be rounded to two decimal points.

About the Scholarship Award:
- This scholarship is for the upcoming 2026-27 academic year.
- Multiple awards made annually in the following amounts:
- Graduate Degree: $6,000
- Bachelor’s Degree: $6,000
- Associate’s and Technical Degree/Certificate: $3,000
- Multiple awards made annually in the following amounts:
- One-time award. Students may reapply annually for the following durations:
- Students pursuing a Graduate Degree - 3-year maximum scholarship
- Students pursuing any form of an Undergraduate Degree - 5-year maximum scholarship
- Students must submit a new application for each degree sought
- What can the scholarship be used for?
- The scholarship will be mailed directly to the student's college to be used towards tuition, required academic fees, and/or book expenses.
- Scholarship funding cannot be distributed directly to the student. Funding cannot be used for room and board, rent, meal plans, parking passes, or other similar living expenses.
- Are there any requirements I must meet if I'm selected as a scholarship recipient?
- Recipients must attend an accredited university, community college, or trade school in the United States.
- Recipients must enroll in at least 9 credit hours for both the fall and spring semesters (or be enrolled part-time according to your school if it is on a different system).
- Recipients must submit college enrollment information online through GHCF Scholar the summer before the academic year begins. This information is required in order for the scholarship check to be mailed to the student's college. Instructions will be included in the student's award letter.
- Recipients must attend an accredited university, community college, or trade school in the United States.
