Description
Eligibility Criteria:
- An employee, spouse, child/grandchild of a current employee or a child/grandchild of the spouse of a current employee of River Oaks Country Club. Current employee is defined as full-time or part-time with a minimum of 750 hours paid in the previous 12 months or an average of at least 500 hours paid per year in the previous 24 months
- Child or grandchild of the employee or the spouse of an employee must be:
- a graduating high school senior or equivalent, or
- previous public or private high school graduate
- Minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale on high school studies or two most recent college semesters
- After 6 years of funding, whether all claimed or not, if a student resumes schooling or pursues a new degree they may apply again as a new applicant. Preference given to first-time applicants.
Award Information:
- Multiple awards made annually for the following amounts:
- 4 year degree: $5,000
- 2 year degree: $3,000
- Scholarships are renewable as long as the student meets eligibility criteria for five years after initial award (up to six years total funding)
- Must enroll in 6 hours in both the fall and spring semesters
