Description
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a child of a full-time Hilcorp employee, excluding senior level managers and senior professional levels and above, with a minimum of 1 year of employment service with Hilcorp Energy Company or one of its affiliates (Hilcorp Alaska LLC, Hilcorp North Slope, or Hilcorp Ventures Inc.) as of the application deadline.
- Must be a graduating high school senior.
- Previous high school graduates are not eligible to apply.
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 (unweighted) scale for initial application.
- Please review this guide for instructions on converting your GPA to a 4.0 scale. GPA should be rounded to two decimal points.
- Must attend a university, community college, or trade school in the United States.
- While eligible applicants can apply for both the Hilcorp and Hilcorp FLA scholarships, they may only be the recipient of one.
- Current recipients of the Hilcorp Scholarship who are planning to renew the scholarship for the upcoming 2025-26 academic year must complete several Renewal Tasks through this application.
Award Information:
- Multiple scholarships awarded annually. The scholarship award is comprised of up to four annual awards at an average of $5,000, for a total award of up to $20,000.
- The four annual awards may be received over a period of up to 6 years, allowing for deferment if needed.
- Must enroll in at least 12 credit hours in both the fall and spring semesters.
- Recipients must meet certain criteria in order to receive subsequent annual awards (i.e., renewals). This includes maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and being enrolled in at least 12 credit hours per semester.
